Many people who have a physical or sensory impairment or long-term physical health problem need financial help because neither they nor their carer are able to earn a regular income and they face additional costs such as high heating bills or taxi fares. The St Monica Trust Community Fund aims to ease financial pressure and help improve the daily lives of these individuals and families by helping them to buy the essential things they need or supporting them through a crisis. The Community Fund also gives grants to organisations with similar aims.
